~38~ MAYA Angelou


In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday. Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older. And, there on television, she said it was 'exciting.' Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day ... like her breasts. They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first.


The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words! Maya Angelou also said :'I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.'

'I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.'


'I've learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're gone from your life.'


'I've learned that making a 'living' is not the same thing as 'making a life.' 'I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.' 'I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw some things back.'

'I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.' 'I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one.' 'I've learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.' 'I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.'

'I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.'

Please send this to phenomenal women today. If you do, something good will happen: You will boost another woman's self-esteem. If you don't ... the elastic will break and your underpants will fall down around your ankles! Believe me, I didn't take any chances on MY elastic breaking.... I sent it to a lot of special women I care for.

~37~ A New EARTH

A Must READ Book for everyone, I feel. Such a GREAT sharing from Eckhart Tolle, after he published "The POWER of NOW" few years back in 1997. Look into the Oprah's Book Club online to have clarity on his sharing. By just reading this book, my life transformed, and I am still reading through it. I would like to share with you all. This book was shared by my friend, Annie during her trip to Malaysia.

~36~ Class 3B3


  • Wow, it has been about 5 weeks I stop scribble on my blog. Time flies!!!
  • In fact, I had created a new blog called class3B3.blogspot.com on the 11th April 08. My intention of creating Class 3B3 is to share my knowledge and experiences in Fashion Merchandising and Retailing during my practice in 1997 to 2004. Ever since I committed myself in lecturing at Malaysian Institute Of Arts, MIA since April, the activities took a bigger space in my life.
  • Even though the lecturing only takes me 2 hours in a week, the class has 15 people. Lots of efforts and thoughts have been put into the effectiveness of learning process. It includes the design of context and content, games simulation, debriefs, music, sitting arrangement, props and examples that appeal real and relevant for the participants and actively encourage them to participate fully in every sessions. I hope they could receive and retain the experiences. It is not an easy job. However, I just love the process of using Excellerated Learning rather than the tradisonal way of academy teaching. I learned so much about myself on earn the rigths to share, ego, frustrations, anger, and how hard I beat myself up when results did not show up as the way I want it to be. It enhance my thinking process, in another word, I am highly perturbed. I love it so much and highly engage with the process.
  • The other thing I love is, being supported by close friends around me, they are Reza, Saba, Jana, Foo, Kitty, Lee and Ms Lai in sharing their experiences that relevant to my lecturing. Those sharing includes presentation skills, questioning technique, games design, content design and seeing possibilities in many many ways. It enrich my thoughts and the way I deliver my knowledge. Besides, it accelerated my creativity when I share my concern with them. Every time when I ask, I got another new question and follow by another question. This is also why I love Reza so much, he hardly give me answer, I got to think through it myself. This is how I grow.
  • So much perturbations going on, until I found out that I speak very very less unless there is a need to talk. Most of the time I am creating, relating and note my creations on papers.
